Bangkok Floods> volunteered> human assembly line

As you may or may not know, Thailand (including Bangkok) is flooded. Now, you might think that flooding is just a non-serious,ordinary natural occurance. But truth is Bangkok is pretty much underwater. Two-story buildings are completely submerged in water. Crocodiles are rampant in the flood. Victims are trapped without food for days. More than three hundred deaths. Everybody's lives are effected by the flood right now. Pray for us and donate if you can. We are in desperate need of help. Two days ago, about twenty of my friends and I went to the National Stadium to help pack necessity bags for victims of the flood. We lined up in two lines, facing each other, and formed a human assembly line. Hah, its actually quite funny now that I think of it. Anyways, plastic bags would be passed from one end to the other and each of us were assigned different necessities (such as tissues, instant noodles and rice) to deposit into our bag and pass it along so that the next person could put in their items. It was a lot of fun at first and things were moving along at a constant speed. So we were like, "Yeh, we're on a roll! We're a machine. This is kinda fun. Let's quit school and become factory workers ( just kidding)". After a while, the guy in charge of the assembly line pressured us to work faster and faster. Our system got messed up since we were going really fast and were starting to get really tired. Two hours of "factory work" had gone by and man we were exhausted. So, that's a little recap of our "factory work" community service.

First Day of School Today

Its my first day of school as a junior today. I didn't sleep well last night because... well, I just don't sleep well ever so I was so groggy and tired at school today. Plus, my contacts suck. I just never had a good vision with contacts on. Anyways, first day of school was just so-so. Everything pretty much felt the same except 1)my classes are wayy more challenging this year 2)so many of my friends have left school 3)the dynamic in the classes are different.

I only had 4 out of my 8 classes today. And here's a little recap of them
Block A- Mandarin 3: didn't do much. conversed in Chinese with my teacher about summer.
Block B- American Hist: pretty much like World Geo except that the people in this class is less boring. Still, its Mr. T so that always sucks. stupid, boring, lame collage about "myself" and an essay for homework.
Block C- Physics: great long chat with V about Harry Potter because we are just that awesome. Mr. N is pretty much the same except his new classroom got 5 times cooler. We actually have lab tables and stools now.
Block D- AP Eng. Composition: I was totally fascinated by Mr. J. He is a really good speaker. In fact, he talked for the whole period without any guidelines. He just talked and talked and talked about books, AP exams, goals, and class. I'm really worried about AP English now since I'm not a very good writer. Oh please, hope that it is not too hard.

Student Council meeting: talked about plans about lock-in and clothing drive. Had a much better time at the meeting compared to last year's.

Will give a review of Thai, Honors Precal, World View, and AP Bio tomorrow.

Anyone else thinks he's the most handsome guy ever? I never really took any notice of his unbelievably good looks amongst the other Hollywood hotties but I just saw a bunch of trailers for his movies and it left me ... well, like this. I totally need to catch up on his movies. I'm practically melting away right now. He just seems like the perfect guy every girl could wish for.
